On December
14, Longrich loving foundation organized an activity in honor to empty nesters
of Anhui province. The city of Hefei was their first stop. The head of Hefei Civil Affairs Bureau
together with the mayor of Baohe district, the deputy town chief as well as the
director of DaWei nursing home, Longrich South China sales director Mr.
Fushiliang, Longrich Anhui branch office GM and a group of mainstream local
media all took part to the event.
According to the data released by the China Aging Problem National Commission, empty-nested elderly people living in counties increased from 42% in 2005 to 54% in 2015, those in rural areas increased from 37.9% to 45.6%.It was reported the number of empty nesters in China hit 170 million in 2015. With the first generation one-child parents continuing to old, the number is expected to surpass 200 million by 2018. Over 90% of them have developed serious physical and mental health problems which have gradually became a social problem. The lack of proper care system has cause a lot of social tragedies.
Back on August 16/2015, Longrich Loving Foundation held a first public welfare activity of the year 2015 in Changshu Xinzhuang Town Center nursing home so as to raise awareness about the problem facing empty-nesters. Over the past 30 years of its development, Longrich has giving back to the society more than 500 million Yuan. In 2014, the company has carried out multiple large-scale public welfare activities in 23 cities across China. In 2015, Longrich walked into schools in Henan and Guangdong province, held fund raising for left-behind children in Qingdao, went to Tibet to assist people in need during disasters, organized several welfare activities in Suzhou, Wuxi and many other cities in Jiangsu province and all around China.
